Green House/ Phil Davis Landscape Design was started in 2018 to contribute to the California Native Plant Society’s mission to “restore nature one garden at a time”. Our approach is to create intelligently designed gardens using California native flora in urban areas. By selecting plants that naturally attract native pollinators, insects and contribute to fungal networks our gardens help to reestablish crucial food webs for birds, butterflies, bees and much more.

Phil was born and raised in the San Gabriel Mountains area, Phil discovered his love for California Natives in the Lower Arroyo Seco where he spent much of his youth (his Mom has worked at the horse stables in the Lower Arroyo Seco for the last twenty plus years.)

Phil holds a Bachelor’s in art and a certificate in horticulture from UCLA, is a certified California Native Plant Landscaper from the Theodore Payne Foundation and United States Green Building Council and is a member of the California Native Plant Society San Gabriel and Santa Monica Mountains chapters. His work has been featured in Architectural Digest as well as other publications.
